A master services agreement signed by Laurentis ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Partners and Synthos Green ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß will support the development and deployment of small modular reactors in Poland. The agreement enables international collaboration between the two companies, beginning with early project planning.

Polskie Elektrownie JÄ…drowe has applied to the President of the National Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency (Panstwowa Agencja Atomistyki) for a general opinion on the planned verification of safety analyses for prospective nuclear power plants.

Westinghouse Electric Company has signed Memoranda of Understanding with 22 companies in Poland that allow for cooperation on the potential construction of AP1000 reactors in the country as well as other potential projects in Central Europe.

NuScale Power and Polish copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedź SA have signed the first task order and a statement of commencement to begin work under the Early Works Agreement signed by the companies earlier this year. Meanwhile, NuScale has signed a contract for the supply of neutron monitoring equipment for use in its small modular reactor.

The USA and Poland have set out a detailed bilateral roadmap for the construction of six large nuclear reactors using US technology and a framework for strategic cooperation in civil nuclear energy.
 

Romanian utility Nuclearelectrica and Polish copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedź SA have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the development of small modular reactors. Both companies have previously signed agreements with NuScale of the USA on the deployment of its SMR technology.

Poland's Council of Ministers has adopted a draft act amending the act on the preparation and implementation of investments in nuclear power facilities and associated investments, the country's National Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency announced. The main goal of the changes is to shorten the time of investment implementation.

US small modular reactor developer Last ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß has signed a Letter of Intent with Poland's Legnica Special Economic Zone and DB ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on the construction of a power plant consisting of ten SMRs with a combined capacity of 200 MWe. The agreement also includes a power purchase agreement with a minimum length of 24 years by LSEZ and its tenants.

Two applications have been submitted to Poland's National Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency for the assessment of small modular reactor technology. Copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedź SA's application is based on NuScale's VOYGR SMR power plant, while Orlen Synthos Green ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß's application concerns GE Hitachi Nuclear ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß's BWRX-300.

Polish state-owned energy company Enea SA has signed an agreement with US small modular reactor developer Last ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß to cooperate on the deployment of SMRs, potentially in Poland. Meanwhile, France's EDF has signed further cooperation agreements with Polish companies to support its offer to supply 4 to 6 EPRs in Poland.

US engineering and construction firm Bechtel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with two affiliates of Japan's Toshiba to collaborate on the delivery of steam turbines and generators for Poland's first nuclear power plant.

Bechtel has signed Memorandums of Understanding with 12 Polish companies for the potential development of two new nuclear power plants in Poland. The US engineering firm said more agreements will follow in the future.
