The International Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency has provided Belarus with a mobile laboratory for assessing radiological threats associated with forest fires in the Polessie State Radio-Ecological Reserve, adjacent to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Recent fires in the exclusion zone did not lead to a hazardous increase in air-borne radioactive particles.

The first batch of fuel for the nuclear power plant under construction in Belarus has been delivered to the construction site in Ostrovets, Russia's Rosatom announced today. The fuel assemblies are currently being prepared for unloading and inspection. 

Hot-tests have been completed at unit 1 of the first nuclear power plant to be constructed in Belarus, Rosatom announced yesterday. The Russian state nuclear corporation said the milestone was an important stage in preparing the unit for commissioning.

Unit 1 of the first nuclear power plant to be built in Belarus has started the commissioning phase, AtomStroyExport, the engineering subsidiary of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has announced.

Unit 1 of the nuclear power plant under construction at Ostrovets in Belarus has been connected to its own source of power supply, Rosatom has announced. Concreting the reactor dome of unit 2 has also been completed, it added.

An International Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency team of experts today concluded a ten-day mission to review Belarus's preparedness and response arrangements for nuclear and radiological emergencies.

Belarus and Kazakhstan yesterday signed a memorandum of cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, the Belarusian ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Ministry has announced. The document was signed by Belarusian Deputy ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk and Kazakh Deputy ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Minister Bakytzhan Dzhaksaliev.
