A memorandum of understanding between Polish company Orlen Synthos Green ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß and the Emirates Nuclear ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Corporation will see the parties work together to support decarbonisation efforts in Poland and Europe through investments in in small modular reactors.
 

Proposals from the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia have been selected to receive US support for coal-to-small modular reactor feasibility studies under Project Phoenix. The USA is also to set up a 'one-stop shop' to support countries in Europe and Eurasia that are approaching SMR deployment decisions.

Polskie Elektrownie JÄ…drowe has submitted an application to the head of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for issuing a location decision for Poland's first nuclear power plant, to be built in the Choczewo municipality in the province of Pomerania.

Poland's Ministry of Climate and Environment is seeking municipalities interested in participating in the process of selecting a site for a new surface repository for low and intermediate-level short-lived radioactive waste. The country's existing national repository for such waste has been in operation since 1961.
