The upcoming Joint Project on Waste Integration for Small and Advanced Reactor Designs - or WISARD - will focus on exploring how front-end and design phase decisions impact back-end strategies to support sustainable future nuclear systems.

The ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Association of Nuclear Operators has appointed Satu Katajala as its next Paris Centre Director in what it describes as a "significant milestone in support of diversity in the nuclear industry".

The document outlines the critical strategies and support actions necessary for the successful large-scale deployment of advanced reactors. Its initial focus is on the USA and Canada, but the roadmap is designed to be a "living document" that evolves and refocuses strategies and actions as the future unfolds.

¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Nuclear Association and nuclear trade associations from Canada, Japan, Europe, the UK and the USA have issued a declaration calling on G7 governments to support the long-term operation of existing nuclear power plants and to accelerate the deployment of new nuclear power plants.

The 29th edition of the OECD Nuclear ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency and International Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency's jointly produced reference work on uranium provides analyses and information from 54 uranium producing and consuming countries and provides a 'snapshot' of the situation from data available in early 2021.

The New Unit Assistance Industry Working Group's updated Roadmap to Operational Readiness guide is a collection of industry guidance, lessons learned, success stories intended to help new nuclear projects worldwide "prepare for the challenge of safe and efficient nuclear power plant operation". 

The Nuclear Innovation Alliance has set out its proposals for ways the US Department of ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß can do more to help to commercialise advanced nuclear technologies.
