Paducah enrichment plant to be closed
USEC is to wind up operations this month at the Paducah plant it leases from the US Department of ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The 1950s facility is the last remaining gaseous diffusion uranium enrichment plant in the world.

Gift of salt for Czech research program
A Czech nuclear research institute has received a shipment of fluoride salt from the US Department of ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The Řež research institute is conducting studies into the use of the salt as a coolant in high-temperature nuclear reactors.
