The Kazakh national atomic company has announced that its Kazatomprom-SaUran LLP subsidiary has completed a "major investment project" to modernise a 1600 tonne per year refinery in Turkestan.

Consolidated Uranium Inc has announced the start of "comprehensive" work programmes including the reopening of the underground working at its 100%-owned Tony M uranium mine, fifteen years after it last produced uranium. The Vancouver-based company also plans to investigate the vanadium potential of the underground mine in Utah.
 

The first wellfield has been completed at the Honeymoon in-situ leach uranium project in South Australia ahead of its restart by the end of this year, Boss ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Limited announced. In addition, related gypsum pond and water treatment plants are nearing completion.

The company has released the full results of a feasibility study on in-situ leach mining of the high-grade Phoenix uranium deposit and a cost update to its pre-feasibility study for conventional underground mining of the Gryphon uranium deposit. The deposits are part of the Wheeler River project in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

Ur-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Inc has announced the successful startup of production flow from Header House 2-4 at its Lost Creek in-situ leach uranium project in Wyoming. The company also said construction of its centralised services facility in Casper, Wyoming, was now complete. 

All the uranium produced in the USA during the first quarter of this year was from in-situ leach operations, according to the latest US government update. But production from conventional mills, as well as in-situ leach operations, looks set to ramp up over the coming months.

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has revoked the uranium mine licence held by Orano Canada Inc for the fully decommissioned Cluff Lake Project in northwestern Saskatchewan, clearing the way for Orano to transfer the site to the Province of Saskatchewan - a first for any modern uranium mine in Canada.

The general agreement covers the Imouraren project, the continued operation of the Somaïr mine, the remediation of the Cominak mine, and Orano's social commitment in Niger.

Boss ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Limited said it is "well on track to be Australia's next uranium producer, with strong progress on all fronts" at its Honeymoon in-situ leach uranium project in South Australia. Production is scheduled to start at the mine during the final quarter of 2023.

Denison Mines Corp plans to carry out additional evaluation work following the completion of a conceptual study of the potential application of in-situ leach mining methods at the Midwest project in Saskatchewan.

Orano joint venture Imouraren SA is looking to begin a pilot programme to investigate using in-situ leach methods at the project in Niger next year, company director Matthieu Davrinche has said, with a view to making an investment decision in 2028.

Uranium production will resume at the Alta Mesa processing plant in early 2024, enCore ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß has announced, making it the company's second producing location following resumption of uranium production at the South Texas Rosita plant which is scheduled for later this year. Meanwhile, supply chain issues have meant a slight delay to the restart of commercial production at Peninsula ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß's Lance project.
