A new small modular reactor (SMR) design has been announced by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Commission, EDF, Naval Group and TechnicAtome. The Nuward - with a capacity of 300-400 MWe - has been jointly developed using France's experience in pressurised water reactors.

Indonesia's National Atomic ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Agency (Batan) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with utility PT Indonesia Power to cooperate in the use of nuclear technology in the energy sector. One area of cooperation will be a feasibility study on the use of nuclear power plants.
